Q: 報名費可以退還嗎？Can the registration fee be refunded?

所有報名費用一經繳付，恕不設退回。
All registration fees are non-refundable once payment is confirmed.

 

Q: 如果我臨時無法出席現場比賽，該怎麼辦？What should I do if I can't attend the live competition due to unforeseen circumstances?

若參賽者未能出席現場比賽，可申請轉為錄影模式（影片評審）或將參賽資格保留至下一次比賽。請務必於比賽前五天通知大會。
If a contestant cannot attend the live competition, they may apply to switch to video submission mode or defer their entry to the next competition. Please notify the organizer at least five days in advance.

 

Q3：比賽分組是如何劃分？How are the competition groups divided?

分為級別組、公開組、非古典歌曲組及獎學金組。公開組及非古典組分為（如K1-K2組、K3組、P1-P3組、F1-F3組、青年組、成年組等）、級別組（包括所有考試單位的級別及校際音樂節的分級）小組合奏及合奏組(包括不同形式合奏小組及合唱團、管弦樂團等不同團體合奏)及獎學金組(包括各樂器的分組)。請參閱 https://www.hkppaa.org/classes。
The groups are divided into level groups, open groups, non-classical song groups, and scholarship groups. The open and non-classical groups are categorized (such as K1-K2, K3, P1-P3, F1-F3, youth group, adult group, etc.), level groups (including all exam unit levels and inter-school music festival classifications), small ensemble and ensemble groups (including various forms of ensemble and choral groups, orchestras, etc.), and scholarship groups (including subdivisions for different instruments). Q4：我可以報名多個組別嗎？Can I register across different groups?

參賽者可以報名參加多於一個組別（例如：同時報名鋼琴獨奏及小提琴獨奏），但年齡組別只能報名符合自身年齡的組別。
Contestants are allowed to register for more than one group (e.g., both piano solo and violin solo), but age groups typically restrict participants to register only in groups that match their age.

2. 曲目與表演 Repertoire & Performance

 

Q1: 比賽需要背譜嗎？Is memorization required for the competition?

不需背譜。
Memorization is not required.

Q2: 如果曲目超過時間限制會怎樣？What happens if the performance exceeds the time limit?

如果超時，評判有權叫停而不予評分，或扣減分數。
If time is exceeded, the judges reserve the right to stop the performance without scoring or to deduct points.

3. 現場安排與服裝 Logistics & Attire

 

Q1：報到需要提交什麼文件？What documents need to be submitted at registration?

需要身份證明文件以及兩份樂譜副本及正本樂譜(如看譜演奏)。
Please provide identification documents and two copies of the sheet music, as well as the original score (if music is read during the performance) are needed.

Q2: 比賽當天需要穿什麼? What should be worn on the day of the competition?

請穿著合適的表演服裝或校服，展現對比賽及觀眾的尊重。
Please wear appropriate performance attire or school uniforms to show respect for the competition and the audience.

 

Q3: 我需要提早多久到達？How early do I need to arrive?

請於報到時間前 15 分鐘到達會場。
Please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before your scheduled reporting time.

4. 惡劣天氣安排 Bad Weather Arrangements

 

Q1: 若比賽當日遇到颱風或黑雨怎麼辦？What happens if the competition day encounters a typhoon or black rain?

會依照場地要求照常或取消比賽，若實體比賽取消，會改以錄影模式進行比賽。
The competition will proceed as scheduled or be canceled based on venue requirements. If the live competition is canceled, it will switch to video submission mode.

 

5. 伴奏與樂器 Accompaniment and Instruments 

 

Q1：大會會提供伴奏嗎？ Will the event provide accompaniment?

參賽者需自備伴奏人員。如果曲目本身包含鋼琴伴奏，參賽者必須安排伴奏，不可使用錄音代替(除非古典歌曲組)。
Participants must arrange for their own accompanists. If the piece includes a piano accompaniment, participants must arrange live accompaniment and cannot use recordings as substitutes (unless in the non-classical music group).

 

Q2：現場可以試琴/試音嗎？ Can there be a trial on the piano/sound check at the venue?

參賽者上台後可作簡短調音（弦樂/管樂），但不可練習整首曲目。
Participants may make brief adjustments (for strings/wind instruments) once on stage, but full practice of the piece is not allowed.

 

6. 評分與獎項 Scoring and Awards

Q2：幾時會知道結果？When will the results be announced?

在該組別所有參賽者完成後，即場宣布公佈。
Results will be announced immediately after all participants in that group have completed their performances.
